House Of Pancakes was formed when two bands joined forces back in 2006, followed by a few changes in line-up (adding the former Beastial Menace drummer Frank "Hakijzer" Kouwenberg to their ranks amongst others), wich led to the present-day line-up in the beginning of 2007. Within half a year the band had written enough songs to start doing shows on stage, where they have made a quite an impression and gathered a loyal fanbase.With influences from thrash- and deathmetal and the occasional progressive metalband, a sound was created existing of grooving, brute thrashriffs with some melodic passages on which the dazzling solos by John are the proverbial syrup on the pancake.
